Radio Free London Podcasts

Radio Free London is a late night radio show on Radio Western, CHRW, the campus radio station of Western University in London, Ontario, Canada.
Monday mornings, 12am til 7am ET

️ ️This week on Radio Free London for October 19th, 2026

➡ The Sunday Service from St. James Westminster, a new Lunchtime Live Concert from St. Paul's Cathedral and the music and words of war!

Details:

➡ As usual I'll open the show with last week's 10:30 a.m. Sunday Service from St. James Westminster Anglican Church.

Father Michael Bruce and Vicar Ann Webber presided over the Service. Stephen Holowitz played the pipe organ accompanied by The St. James Westminster Choir and the congregation.

➡ Next up is a new field recording from Lunchtime Live at St. Paul's Cathedral held on Tuesdays at noon for the months of October and November.

I've been recording them from the start but haven't had time to edit them yet. But the one held on October 14th was easy!

You'll hear Trio SOL, an ensemble of grand piano, violin and cello.

➡ For the rest of the show, I'll feature a Radio Free London Reprise from early March of 2022. It was my first show after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The theme for that show was the music and words of war!

I'd hummed and hawed about whether to focus on nuclear war specifically or war in general. In the end I decided to split it down the middle with the first part focused on nuclear war and World War 3 while the second part is about war in general but highlighting World War 2.

Usually, I'd say 'enjoy' but this time I'll just ask you to listen.
