Radio Free London Podcasts

Radio Free London is a late night radio show on CHRW, the campus radio station of Western University in London, Ontario, Canada.
Monday mornings, 2am til 6am ET.

🎙️🎚️ This week on Radio Free London for August 14th. 📻

Tonight, a recent 'field recording' and more retrospective music!

The first half of tonight's show is a recording from East Village Arts Collective's Collectively Speaking Saturday evening performance of electronic artists:

⚡️ M'NK S'ND
⚡️ A Person Disguised as People
⚡️ O'Haara
⚡️ Wormwood

As part of my 'retro summer project' I have two recordings that aren't mine but are certainly worth some airtime:

Red Fishy Wins - Take Down The Borders:
This six song cassette was recorded in 1992. The performers were:

⚡ ️Shane Dunne (writer/guitar/vocals)
⚡ ️Bruce Woollatt (writer/vocals)
⚡️ Geoff Johnson (keyboards/vocals)
⚡️ Lori Gardi (bass guitar)
⚡️ Rob Sylvester (drums/vocals)
(Including a 'cast of thousands' in "We Will Not Be Silent"!)

I was given a copy of the cassette the last time I visited my sister (the bassist) and decided to take a crack at remastering it.

I think the music and lyrics stand the test of time.

Erin Clarke at the Home County Folk and Arts Festival in (approx.) 2005.

Erin started frequenting the acoustic open stage at London Music Club and busked at Covent Garden Market Canada. I'll be playing a recording (not mine) made of her performance on the main stage evening performance.

Last but certainly not least, a musical tribute to my cat, Lazarus Long, who passed away in my arms a couple of weeks ago. He was 17 years old and had a good life.

Unfortunately, MixCloud doesn't provide a direct method to download their content. But where there's a void, someone will figure out a way to fill it!

If you really want to download these podcasts, there are various ways that this can be accomplished:

I found a handy page that covers these various ways for Firefox and Chrome web browsers as well as a web based form that'll work for everyone else. Go to this link and follow instructions:
