This week on Radio Free London for Febraury 9th, 2026

The Sunday Services from St. James Westminster, The Manor Park Afternoon Post and a Science Fiction, Double Feature!

Details:

First up, as usual, the Sunday Service from St. James Westminster Anglican Church in Wortley Village.

Vicar Ann Webber and Father Michael Bruce presided over the Service. Stephen Holowitz played the grand piano accompanied by Duncan Sizeland on guitar and vocals, soloists Paul Grambo and Natali Grant, the Westminster Choir and the congregation.

Next up, another new field recording, this time featuring The Alvegoroot Theatre's Manor Park Evening Post... in the afternoon!

The Manor Park Evening Post is a variety show performed in the manner of cabaret and vaudeville with great music, silly sketches and sillier jokes.

This rare afternoon edition of the Evening Post takes on a country music flare with guest singer Matt Martin. The rest of the cast includes Adam Corrigan Holowitz, Kydra Ryan and Jack Sizeland with Stephen Holowitz on electric piano.

For the remainder of the show I'll feature a Radio Free London reprise for early March of 2021.

In keeping with the genre of variety shows, this one contains both music and spoken word with the theme being a science fiction, double feature extravaganza!

You'll hear history moments in spaceflight, radio plays and music with a science fiction and fantasy flair.
